About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims to report interdisciplinary approaches for tissue repair and regeneration that combine physiology, developmental biology, regenerative biology, and tissue engineering.
We welcome the submission of manuscripts to this new Frontiers Research Topic from scientists whose work focuses on stem cells, regenerative medicine, and molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying tissue regeneration.
Potential themes include but are not limited to:
- Innovative approaches combining stem cells, growth factors, and biomaterials for tissue repair
- Combination of stem cells, biomaterials, and growth factors for tissue regeneration
- Cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in tissue regeneration
Guest Editor Dr. Stefano Forte is a Scientific Director at IOM Ricerca srl (Viagrande, Italy). Guest Editor Dr. Giovanna Calabrese declares no competing interests with regard to the Research Topic subject.
Keywords: stem cells, physiology, growth factors, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
