About this Research Topic
This Research Topic, dedicated to the 21st Biennial Southern Silvicultural Research Conference (BSSRC), will focus on forest management in the southeastern United States. Under this framework, the Research Topic will consider submissions dedicated to traditional silvicultural topics including forest productivity, prescribed fire, herbicide applications, natural regeneration, artificial regeneration, thinning, and forest restoration. In addition, the Research Topic encourages submissions investigating how forest management impacts a diverse suite of topics including nutrient cycling, wildlife habitat, carbon management, and a variety of other prominent natural resource issues in the southeastern United States.
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
