About this Research Topic
The field of endoscopy has gained significant advances in recent years. In this regard, diagnosis and management of early gastrointestinal neoplasms have emerged as one of the major indications for which endoscopy is performed. New tools and techniques have provided better diagnostic as well as therapeutic opportunities.
In this Research Topic, we aim to address the current state of the art with respect to the endoscopic diagnosis and management of early gastrointestinal neoplasms localized to upper and lower GI tracts. These include early esophageal and gastric neoplasms, duodenal adenomas, ampullary tumors, and neoplastic colonic polyps. The Research Topic will aim to address the indications of endoscopic resection, available modalities for endoscopic diagnosis, endoscopic techniques for resection. In addition, recent advances with regards to endoscopic diagnosis including novel imaging modalities and the role of artificial intelligence will be a part of the collection.
The articles included in this Research Topic will aim to benefit novices as well as the experts in the field of endotherapy in cases with early GI neoplasms.
