About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims to highlight recent discoveries in materials preparation, optoelectronic property, and device fabrication and integration for organic/flexible optoelectronics from the following aspects:
(i) Molecular design and preparation of organic optoelectronic materials;
(ii) Role of structure-performance-morphology in optoelectronic behavior and devices performance;
(iii) Fabrication and integration of flexible/organic devices.
We welcome high-quality experimental or theoretical studies that report new understanding of the rational molecular design, precise synthesis and property-structure relationship of functional materials, and their organic/flexible electronic devices, as Original Research, Review, Mini-Review, and Perspective articles. The main focused themes in this Research Topic include, but are not limited, to:
• Rational design and preparation of organic and hybrid optoelectronic materials
• Optoelectronic behavior in organic materials
• Carbon-based nanomaterials for optoelectronic applications
• Technology and manufacture of flexible/organic devices
• Device system integration
• Other flexible/wearable devices
* FAMISHED is defined as Flexible Electronics, Artificial Intelligence, Materials Science, Internet of Things, Space Science, Healthcare Science, Energy Science, and Data Science, which was originally proposed by Professor Wei Huang (Academician, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)).
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
