About this Research Topic
In the arena of Smart Grids and Microgrids the penetration of Renewable Energy Sources into the existing power systems is inevitable. With more and more penetration of renewable energy sources, the power/energy management becomes critical and challenging for successful operation of Smart/Microgrid systems. In addition, optimal planning of resources is a must for reliable and cost-effective operation of the system considering the variability and availability of various resources including the storages, loads and serviceability of critical loads all the time. For efficient and effective control of smart grid systems, communication among different entities/devices/agents and associated cyber security is another vital vector.
With reference to the above, original contributions are invited from the potential researchers from academia as well as from the industry as prospective authors in the following areas, but not limited to:
