About this Research Topic
The purpose of this Research Topic will be to summarize the current knowledge on this complex phenomenon, joining neurobiological, pharmacological and clinical research and everyday clinical practice. Therefore, this Research Topic would be useful not only to researchers, but also to clinicians who routinely visit suicidal patients in clinical settings, in "everyday real-world clinical practice in the context of economic crisis".
We welcome submissions on, but not limited to, the following topics:
• theoretical advances in understanding suicide and suicide attempts
• prevalence studies of suicide and suicide attempts,
• risk factors,
• neurobiological findings and potential biomarkers,
• prevention strategies,
• treatment suggestions.
