About this Research Topic
This Research Topic solicits on a wide range of the latest and original contributions on the innovative concept, model, technique, knowledge, policy, standard and critical enabling technologies for design, management, and operation of smart grids with the integration of multiple energy systems and active participation of prosumers. Reviews and demonstration on the practice of the smart integrated energy systems (IES) and prosumer community in the smart context are also welcomed.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
• Design, operation, and simulation of P2X systems (e.g. power-to-gas, power-to-hydrogen);
• Integration of distributed renewable energy sources and storages;
• Operation and control of smart IES;
• V2X (e.g. vehicle-to-grid, vehicle-to-building) integration and management;
• Pricing mechanism and schemes of local energy markets, including peer-to-peer trading;
• Block-chain and smart-contract for energy transaction, assets management, system control, business innovation, and other services;
• Socio-technical systems of energy community;
• Demand response in IES or SG;
• Formation and operation of virtual power plants;
• Criticality identification and protection for integrated systems (energy systems, cyber-physical systems…);
• Big-data application to the operation and management of the IES and SG;
• Standards, policies, regulations and guidelines for IES and energy community;
• Cooling and heating loads and systems.
