About this Research Topic
Recent advances in the various imaging modalities (echocardiography, cardiac computer tomography, cardiac magnetic resonance) can speed up the diagnosis, refine the classification, prognostic stratification, and ultimately improve the management of heart failure patients. The goal of this research topic is to collect cutting-edge novel evidences as well as comprehensive and iconographic reviews addressing heart failure management at all the mentioned levels. We consider novelty, solid methodology, and potential incorporation in routine practice as the key features of each study.
We welcome manuscripts focused on the following aspects:
1) Acute heart failure.
2) Atrial function in heart failure.
3) Right ventricular function in heart failure.
4) Insights into heart failure prognosis.
5) Valvular heart disease and heart failure, with particular interest in secondary mitral and tricuspid regurgitation.
6) Speckle tracking echocardiography.
7) Cardiac MRI.
8) Cardiac TC.
9) Nuclear cardiology.
10) Multimodality imaging.
