About this Research Topic
Omics approaches, including genomics, metagenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics, enable a new holistic vision of a biological system at the level of genes, transcripts, proteins and metabolites. And they are well established and relevant for aquatic nutritional physiology research. Future omics approaches can better understand physiological and metabolic mechanisms involved in animal nutrition.
This Research Topic aims to publish original manuscripts that highlight new developments in the broad application of omics approaches towards aquatic nutritional physiology.
This Research Topic aims to collect studies (including original research, perspectives, reviews, and mini reviews) that potential topics include, but are not limited to, omics approaches applications in:
• How feed and nutrients act in aquatic animals metabolism.
• The nutritions and its implication of environmental stress change.
• The nutrients and it's influence in the final fish and shrimp quality.

Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
