About this Research Topic
More research is needed in the area of veterinary diseases that are prevalent in the tropics. Advances in the field of molecular pathogenesis has been proven to reveal crucial information and possible elucidation for many diseases. This Research Topic provides an opportunity for authors to explore in depth the molecular interactions and pathogenicity between the disease pathogens, vectors, and hosts. The information obtained can then be used to improve human health and perhaps increase awareness among researchers to provide more opportunities for training and education in tropical veterinary diseases.
The aim of this Research Topic is to highlight and promote discussion regarding the molecular pathogenesis of tropical veterinary diseases. We welcome submissions of original research papers, reviews, and perspectives on the themes below (but not limited to):
• Host-pathogen or Host-symbiont Interactions;
• Pathobiology;
• Host immune response;
• Community-acquired infections;
• Vaccines and therapeutics;
• Management measures (prevention, control, and treatment);
• Economic impact of emerging/re-emerging and evolving infections.
Keywords: molecular, pathogenesis, tropical, diseases
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
