About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims to delineate the functionalities of exosomes in their physiological and pathological roles in different metabolic and endocrine diseases. It will cover a spectrum of research interests that draw a holistic view to reveal the function and mechanisms of exosomes in diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutics.
Original research and reviews covering novel studies of exosomes in their physiological and pathological roles in metabolic and endocrine disease, such as diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, adrenal disease, etc. are welcome.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
• Novel treatments/targets of exosomes for metabolic and endocrine disease.
• Basic and preclinical studies that help reveal the pathology underlying metabolic and endocrine disease.
• Exosomes as novel biomarkers in identifying metabolic and endocrine disease.
Keywords: Exosomes, metabolic disease, endocrine disease, biomarker, pathophysiologic mechanism
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
