About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims to promote the development of ocean optical fiber sensing technology (OOFST), such as novel principles, devices, systems of OOFST. The content ranges from fundamental understanding to emerging technologies, fabrication and applications. The goal of this Research Topic is to provide a platform for scientists around the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of OOFST.
This Research Topic is dedicated to the fore-front progress of ocean optical fiber sensing technology (OOFST), covering work in all aspects of theory, modeling and simulation, experimentation, instrumentation, and application. Both novel experimental or theoretical advancements in the technological base of OOFST are in the interest of this Research Topic. In the scope of ocean fiber sensing technology, topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
