About this Research Topic
The pandemic caused by COVID-19 affected markets on all continents and resulted in incalculable losses for countries, organizations, and people. As with other crises; countries, organizations, and people will look for ways to return to normality. Organizational management faces different constraining factors. They range from economical hardship to problems with suppliers, the market and distribution to name a few. However, there is limited research on how organizations respond to a crisis such as COVID-19. Crises can be initiated, among other factors, by economic, warlike, or environment-related issues such as earthquakes, droughts and floods, tsunamis, etc. In general, crises are restricted geographically. The year 2020 brought us a new global crisis factor, the pandemic.
The purpose of this special collection is to understand how organizations, whether public, private or mixed, are facing COVID-19 or other crises, and how these affect organizations' sustainability efforts. The special collection will also be dedicated to providing insights into how organizations aim to become more resilient facing the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis.
