Proceedings of the "Fourth International Conference of FMR1 Premutation: Basic Mechanisms, Clinical Involvement and Therapy"

This Research Topic aims at gathering Proceedings of the Fourth International Conference of FMR1 Premutation: Basic Mechanisms, Clinical Involvement and Therapy. This conference has become a major interdisciplinary meeting for clinicians, basic scientists and students working in the fields of fragile X-associated tremor/ataxia syndrome (FXTAS), fragile X-associated primary ovarian insufficiency (FXPOI), and other associated clinical phenotypes of the FMR1 premutation‏.

The conference will be held from Wednesday 25th to Friday 27th September 2019 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and will include lectures about basic mechanisms, clinical involvement, therapy and biomarkers. A new special topic in our program is introduced that is focused on FMR1 premutation carrier perspectives, in collaboration with the European Fragile X Network.

By sharing information and discussing progress in our collective understanding of premutation disorders, together with world’s leading investigators in the field, we hope that this meeting will inspire new collaborations and novel research and treatment initiatives.
