The understanding and integrating of electroceramics into products requires a truly multidisciplinary approach, which combines the principles across many areas of physical science and engineering. Electroceramics are going to play an even more influential role with the rapid development of mobile communications, internet of things, big data revolutions, etc. which are dependent on integrated hardware platforms that combine processors, sensors, actuators, independent energy sources, etc. Exciting innovations and developments in the area of electronic materials are necessary in the coming years to advance these ground breaking technologies.
This Research Topic on advanced electroceramics for energy conversion and storage will intend to provide a recent progress and discovery on the science, engineering, and technology of electroceramic materials and devices, with the emphasis on energy conversion and storage.
