About this Research Topic
In this Research Topic, we will focus on the very important field of electronics and optoelectronics based on graphene and related 2D materials. Electronics and optoelectronics have become the key technology, focusing on the science and technology of electronics and light-matter interaction, including the FET, high-frequency electronics, wireless systems, bioelectronics, detectors and sensors, flexible devices, photovoltaics, information communication, data storage, electro-optic modulators, plasmonics, imaging, light sources, bio-inspired technologies and so on. 2D materials and their structures can contribute to the innovation of electronic and optoelectronic devices and related physical concept studies.
We encourage researchers and scientists to publish the latest research progress, summarize the development status of the field, and discuss future development trends and directions. Research Topics welcomes submissions covering but not limited to:
1. Synthesis of 2D materials and fabrication technology of electronic and optoelectronic devices
2. Optoelectronics and light-matter interactions based on 2D materials
3. Novel electronic devices based on 2D materials
4. The interface and surface of 2D materials
5. Fundamental understanding and discussions of electronics and optoelectronics based on 2D materials
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
