We are delighted to announce that the University of Dundee has joined the national open access deal agreed between Jisc Collections and Frontiers. This landmark deal provides a simplified and streamlined route to open access publishing for researchers in the UK, who publish 7% of the world’s research. The University of Dundee supports its researchers in making their research more widely available. As part of this deal, eligible authors may publish in any Frontiers journal at no cost to them and with a simplified process. Eligible authors will benefit from a streamlined invoicing process, relieving authors of the responsibility of payment. Furthermore, the University of Dundee will benefit from a discount on Article Processing Charges (APCs) for articles covered by this agreement. This agreement will further encourage University of Dundee authors to publish open access, increasing uptake of open access to the results of mostly publicly funded research, to the benefit of the scholarly community and the public at large, while reducing costs. We are delighted to announce that the Z. Smith Reynolds Library at Wake Forest University has formed an open access publishing agreement with Frontiers. Wake Forest University supports its researchers in making their research more widely available. As part of this support, the Z. Smith Reynolds library at Wake Forest University has entered an institutional agreement with Frontiers. Under the terms of this agreement, Wake Forest University-affiliated corresponding authors on the Reynolds campus will benefit from a 15% discount on article-processing charges (APCs) when publishing in any of Frontiers’ open access journals, irrespective of what fund covers the APC.This agreement will further encourage Wake Forest University authors to publish open access, increasing uptake of open access for fellow researchers and the public at large to the results of mostly publicly funded research, while reducing costs. This institutional agreement means that eligible Luleå University of Technology researchers may publish in any Frontiers journal at no cost to them and with a simplified process. Articles may benefit from a 10% membership discount. Luleå University of Technology supports its researchers in making their research more widely available. This agreement will further encourage Luleå University of Technology researchers to publish open access, increasing the volume of research openly available. While this reduces costs for the researcher, it also benefits the wider research community and the public at large.
