University of Lausanne including Hospital forms publishing agreement with Frontiers

University of Lausanne has formed an institutional partnership agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers. This institutional agreement means that eligible University of Lausanne researchers may publish in any Frontiers journal at no cost to them and with a simplified process. Articles may benefit from a 10% partnership discount. The University of Lausanne supports its researchers in making their research more widely available. This agreement will further encourage UNIL researchers to publish open access, increasing the volume of research openly available. Frontiers announces first journal acquisition: Oncology Reviews

The open-access publisher Frontiers has acquired the journal Oncology Reviews from PAGEPress. The acquisition marks a significant milestone for Frontiers. It is the first journal the publisher has acquired since it was founded in 2007. Oncology Reviews is also Frontiers’ first proprietary Reviews journal, aiming to publish highly impactful reviews, thought-provoking editorials and opinion pieces. Dr. Frederick Fenter, chief executive editor of Frontiers, said: “Our successful experience with supporting the journals of learned societies on our open-science platform has now made it possible to pursue our mission via the strategic acquisition of existing journals. Delft University of Technology has formed an institutional membership agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers on the 1st of October 2014. This institutional agreement means that eligible Delft University of Technology researchers may publish in any Frontiers journal at no cost to them and with a simplified process. As of January 2022, articles may now benefit from a 10% membership discount. The University of Kent has joined the Frontiers – JISC national open access deal

The University of Kent has joined the national open access deal agreed between Jisc Collections and Frontiers. This landmark deal provides a simplified and streamlined route to open access publishing for researchers in the UK, who publish 7% of the world’s research. The University of Kent supports its researchers in making their research more widely available. As part of this deal, eligible authors may publish in any Frontiers journal with a discount of 10% on Article Processing Charges (APCs) for articles. This agreement will further encourage University of Kent authors to publish open access, increasing uptake of open access to the results of mostly publicly funded research, to the benefit of the scholarly community and the public at large, while reducing costs. Information for authors: This agreement provides a discount only and does not cover the full costs of your APC. You are advised to obtain confirmation of funding to cover the remaining 90% of the APC. Frontiers and University of León form open access publishing agreement

The University of León supports its researchers in making their research more widely available. As part of this support, the University of León has entered an institutional agreement with Frontiers. Under the terms of this agreement, University of León-affiliated corresponding authors will benefit from a 10% discount on article-processing charges (APCs) when publishing in any of Frontiers’ open access journals. This agreement will further encourage University of León researchers to publish open access, increasing the volume of research openly available.
