About this Research Topic
We aim to explore the different expressions by lncRNAs at gene transcription, post-transcription, translation, and epigenetic modification levels, and reveal the involved signaling pathways in tumorigenesis and tumor progression in different treatment groups, such as immunotherapy, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. These prognosis-related lncRNAs will be selected and validated in vivo or in different cohorts for further clinical application. In addition, the regulatory interaction networks between lncRNAs with other multiple classes of RNAs would be also interesting to elaborate in detail on the mechanisms of lncRNAs in tumor resistance after different treatments. Furthermore, we would like to reveal the relationship between lncRNAs and immune escape, the exact mechanisms of lncRNAs in remodeling the tumor microenvironment and select the potential target lncRNAs to predict the therapy response. All these would help to reveal the multiple roles of lncRNAs in cancers and expand the application of lncRNAs in cancer populations combined with other therapies
Original Research, Review, Mini Review, Opinion, and Perspective articles that describe and cover the recent advances made in lncRNAs and therapy are considered. This research topic will include but is not limited to
• New strategies for tumor therapy based on the lncRNA
• Mechanisms of lncRNA regulation of therapeutic sensitivity of tumor cells
• Construction and validation of lncRNA regulatory network for therapy resistance
• Models for the prediction of antitumor effect and safety for different therapy
• Identification and validation of candidate lncRNAs to predict antitumor activity and safety for different treatments
