The specific focus of this collection will be on the application of blockchain technology in any area of healthcare, including clinical trials, personalized medicine, “omic” medicine, pharmaceutical supply chains, prescription drug management, and health records management. For the special call, we are seeking articles that focus on the intersection of blockchain, healthcare and these approaches. In addition, articles that discuss any of the following topics in the context of healthcare are welcome:

• Applications Design and analysis of blockchain applications

• Fraud detection
• Modelling and forecasting
• Tokens for digital assets
• Blockchain metrics
• Interdisciplinary studies of blockchain-based systems
Papers can be either theoretical or empirical: in both cases, they must contain original content that advances the state of the art of blockchain technologies. We also welcome survey papers that compare existing approaches, or systematize the knowledge about a given topic.
Articles published within this Research Topic in 2019 are eligible for the $10,000 “Yun Family Frontiers in Blockchain Prize".
