About this Research Topic
The primary aim of this research topic is to collate works from researchers specializing in virology, bacteriology, disease transmission and mechanisms, and diagnostics. The objective is threefold: to understand the current, emerged, re-emerged, and emerging diseases within the poultry industry; to explore diagnostic technologies that could potentially contribute to the development of new diagnostic tools; and to employ new strategies to eradicate potential pathogenic threats to the poultry industry.
The scope of this research topic is confined to recent advances and diagnostics in emerging and re-emerging poultry disease. We invite submissions on a variety of themes, including but not limited to:
- Current and emerging diseases in the poultry industry
- Diagnostic technologies in avian disease detection
- Strategies for disease eradication in poultry
- Economic impact of poultry diseases
- Case studies on disease outbreaks in poultry industries
We welcome original research papers, mini-reviews, short manuscripts, case reports, and comprehensive reviews. This special issue aims to serve as a valuable resource for epidemiologists, veterinarians, and industry organizations.
Keywords: avian diseases, duck diseases, goose diseases, pigeon diseases, emerging disease, diagnostics, mechanisms, infectious diseases, bacteriological disease
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
