About this Research Topic
With the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease on the rise among aging populations, it becomes crucial to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the underlying biomechanisms to enhance preventive measures for patients. Recent advances in the elucidation of basic biomechanisms such as the major role of the influential genetic factor TREM2 in the immunological basis of Alzheimer’s disease and the establishment of mechanobiology with relevance to Alzheimer’s diseases, hold promising translational value and potential for clinical applications.
