About this Research Topic
Some of the major limitations in GI-Surgery are related to:
Peritoneal Metastasis, invasive unresectable cancer diseases, short bowel syndrome, mesenteric artery stenosis, severe peritonitis and its related complications. This Special Edition intends to provide the option to present new and innovative approaches to these problems in abdominal surgery.
We especially welcome, but not limited to, original articles, case reports and short commentaries on:
- Peritoneal metastasis and intraperitoneal chemotherapy
- New surgical approaches, devices and drug delivery concepts
- Management of invasive, unresectable cancer diseases
- New approaches and concepts for short bowel syndrome
- Potential solutions and novel management of mesenteric artery stenosis
- Severe Peritonitis and new ideas in the management of related complications
