Aging is accompanied by cognitive decline and is the primary risk factor for Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. The aging of the brain has not been well understood. Previous studies showed that both healthy and pathological aging are associated with changes in brain structure and function of human brain. This research topic is to study the structural and functional alterations of brain associated with aging , using the mathematical notions, such as, fractal, scaling analysis, graph theory, long-range temporal correlations, etc..
