There is a need to break down the impact of greenhouse gases (GHGs) for a sustainable future. Studies should attempt to understand the role of microorganisms for the potential to be deployed in carbon sequestration in situ. A proper understanding of the microbial physiology and optimal conditions for agricultural productivity should also be considered. This Research Topic will cover the detailed discussion in context of different types of functional microbes, their properties and recent emerging ideas for their application in alleviation of GHGs as well as the effect on the already established microbiome. This Research Topic will be of high importance to clarify Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with principles and practices of climate change on plant holobiont and alleviation through microbial determinants. Under scientific social responsibility (SSR), it will foster the knowledge transfer among scientific communities, industries, and young researchers and will enable a better understanding of the nature of microbial application procedure for sustainable ecosystem.
The objective of this Research Topic will be to enhance the capacity of scientific members and other stakeholders, such as industry partners, to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies, as well as use tools for the implementation of effective climate migration policies. In doing so, multiple organizations can contribute to better governance as embodied in SDGs frameworks. Such active cooperation and partnerships shall facilitate the governance and management of climate change with SDGs standards.
