About this Research Topic
During times of crisis, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic or other challenging working conditions, these negative consequences can exacerbate the risk of stress, burnout, moral injury, and mental health challenges experienced among health workers.
In this Research Topic we want to gather papers on the lived experiences of mental health professionals working in psychiatric and psychological settings with the aim of assessing potential risk factors and effective approaches for promoting the mental health of health workers through self-care and other evidence-based interventions.
Furthermore, we want to collect evidence on the need for organizational measures, policies and systemic changes needed to address these challenges and empower mental health workers in the future.
