Frontiers in Pharmacology is delighted to present the Research Topic “Women in Obstetric and Pediatric Pharmacology 2023” which is part of series that we are hosting throughout the journal, celebrating International Women’s Day on Wednesday 8th March 2023.
At present, according to UNESCO, less than 30% of researchers worldwide are women. Long-standing biases and gender stereotypes are discouraging girls and women away from science-related fields, and STEM research in particular. Science and gender equality are, however, essential to ensure sustainable development as highlighted by UNESCO. In order to change traditional mindsets, gender equality must be promoted, stereotypes defeated, and girls and women should be encouraged to pursue STEM careers.
Therefore, Frontiers in Pharmacology is proud to offer this platform to promote the work of women scientists, across all areas of Obstetric and Pediatric Pharmacology. The work presented here highlights the diversity of research performed across the entire breadth of Pharmacology research and presents advances in theory, experiment, and methodology with applications to compelling problems.
Please note:
We especially welcome manuscripts where to be considered for this collection, the first or last author should be a researcher who identifies themselves as a woman.
Different Article Types can be submitted to the Research Topic including Brief Research Report, Case Report, Clinical Trial, Correction, Editorial, General Commentary, Hypothesis & Theory, Methods, Mini Review, Opinion, Original Research, Perspective, Review, Systematic Review, Technology and Code.
