Frontiers in Toxicology has organized a series of special edition Research Topics, with the goal of highlighting the latest advancements in toxicology in global regions. In the Asia, Australia and New Zealand collection, we aim to highlight recent progress made in the field of toxicology coming out of the region and showcase the impact Asian and ANZ science is having on regional and global food, chemical, consumer product and pharmaceutical safety issues. We are particularly interested in research that addresses emerging safety issues in the region and/or contributes to global challenges in safety testing.
We invite authors to submit papers in all areas relevant to the above topic, including but not limited to, the following themes:
• Safety assessment of emerging toxicants (ideally of relevance/significance in the Asia-Australia-New Zealand region)
• Development and/or application of new approach methodologies (NAMs) for safety assessment
• Approaches in toxicology for new and novel products e.g. Nanotech, novel foods
• Regulatory considerations for toxicology (regional/international comparisons)
• In Vitro toxicology in safety assessment and regulation
