In the last two years, due to the situation of the global pandemic, there has been an increase in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), especially in the labor and academic world, bringing to light the debate on the right to digital disconnection and increased stress. The concept of technostress affects both people with limited technological resources who tend to reject the use of ICT and perceive it as something negative, as well as people accustomed to the use of new technologies, who due to continuous training, may feel frustrated. Digitalization is a trend that will continue in the future and therefore it is of the utmost importance to understand the risks and challenges that it entails.
The goal of this Research Topic is to present studies that have examined information and communication technology, and stress and mental health. Both work-related studies and studies carried out in educational settings will be accepted. We welcome studies of theoretical and practical importance. We encourage the submission of the studies that analyze the effects of different types of teaching carried out through Internet and that also present outcomes on psychological well-being.
