Clinical Immunologists often encounters patients with rare immune-mediated and allergic disorders, including autoimmunity, atopy, eosinophilic disorders, and inborn errors of immunity. Treatment options on offer for these patients have advanced rapidly in the last years. Building on our understanding of the underlying mechanisms, as well as the introduction of pathway-targeted biologic treatments, has markedly improved patient care.
Here, we aim to present recent advances and novel insights into the underlying mechanisms and targeted treatments of patients with rare immune-mediated diseases. This includes eosinophilic, atopic, autoimmune, and primary immune dysregulation disorders, such as:
- Novel indications for anti-IL-5 therapy.
- Novel insights and therapeutic approach for Hyper IgE syndrome
- Acquired bradykinin mediated angioedema
This collection will include Original Research and Review/Mini-Review articles, considering immune-mediated disorders. Authors will present their work in the field of clinical immunology with a focus on the underlying mechanism and novel therapeutic modalities in:
• Autoimmune
• Atopic
• Eosinophilic Disorders
• Primary immune regulatory disorders
