Frontiers in Sustainable Cities is delighted to present the ‘Reviews in’ series of article collections.
Reviews in Cities in the Global South will publish high-quality scholarly review papers on key topics in Cities in the Global South. It aims to highlight recent advances in the field, whilst emphasizing important directions and new possibilities for future inquiries. We anticipate the research presented will promote discussion in the Cities in the Global South community that will stimulate further research and provide best-practice applications for policymakers and practitioners in this field across the globe.
The Reviews in Cities in the Global South collection welcomes all types of review articles including full-length, mini, or systematic review papers. New articles will be added to this collection as they are published. Authors are welcome to submit reviews focusing on themes including, but not limited to, the following:
• Sustainable urbanization in the Global South;
• Inequality and poverty in cities in the Global South;
• Resilience and adaptation to urban climate risks;
• Impact of COVID-19 in cities in the Global South;
• Financing of urbanization in the Global South;
• North-South and South-South cooperation for sustainable development in the Global South;
• Decolonization and urban theory of/from the Global South;
