With the aging of the global population, the industrialization of society, and the continuous occurrence of diseases and disasters, the incidence of central nervous system (CNS) diseases is increasing. It is difficult to recover from central nervous system injury, like stroke, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, which leads to long-term disability.
In recent years, bioinformatics, molecular imaging technology, artificial intelligence, targeted drugs, biological materials, and precision therapy has made great progress. They are widely used in central nervous system injury and bring new hope to CNS injury patients.
This Research Topic focuses on the research frontiers and advances in the above areas in CNS injury. The objective is to summarize the research on the mechanism of CNS injury and advanced treatment clinical application. Review and Original Research articles are welcome. Please note all studies must contribute insights into translational research in the field of neuroscience. Reports focusing purely on fundamental/basic research without any reference to translational aspects are not welcome.
• Innovative research on diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of central nervous system injury diseases.
• Molecular mechanisms of central nervous system injury and disease, neuroinflammation, nerve regeneration, cell death mechanisms, etc.
• Image-based and innovative approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of central nervous system injury and disease. Structural and functional imaging are welcome.
• Research and development of innovative drugs and pharmacological mechanism exploration.
• Epidemiological studies or clinical trials of central nervous system injury and disease based on big data mining.
• Reviews, meta-analysis or systematic reviews and other related studies focused on CNS injuries and diseases
