ECCM (link) is a leading conference in the field of composite materials, which takes place every 2 years in a European country, and will take place on June 22 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The main theme of the conference is composites meet sustainability, and we propose to focus for this special collection on papers related to advanced manufacturing, with sustainability in mind.

This collection aims to gather contributions from ECCM 20 related to advanced manufacturing methods and automation for composite materials, with a particular emphasis on their role in sustainability. Examples may include biocomposites, novel resin materials and polymerization techniques, low-energy manufacturing methods, process modeling, and characterization for better efficiency and reduction of waste materials.
