The
72nd Meeting of the Italian Society of Physiology (SIF) gathers scientists from universities and institutes across Europe and offers a platform for discussing the most exciting developments in the areas of basic and translational physiology. This Frontiers Research Topic will collect varied contributions from original research to review articles from SIF participants covering key achievements and latest advancements in the field of physiology.
This collection is led by Guest Editors Prof. Giovanna Valenti, Prof. Andrea Gerbino and Prof. Grazia Tamma from Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro and Prof. Fiorenzo Conti from Università Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona, Italy.
This Research Topic welcomes basic, translational, clinical, and applied research improving our understanding of physiological processes exploiting a wide spectrum of experimental models, from isolated cells to complex organ system.
Potential areas of interest may include, but are not limited to:
- Cellular and Molecular Physiology
- Neurobiology and Neurophysiology
- Metabolism, Nutrition and Systems Physiology
- Physiology of Motor Systems and Exercise
Researchers working in these areas not attending the conference are also welcome to submit their manuscripts.
We welcome submissions of different article types to this collection, especially original research papers, reviews and mini-reviews. Even though abstract submission is not mandatory, we encourage all interested researchers to submit an abstract before submitting their manuscript. Abstracts do not have to coincide with the final abstract of the manuscripts.
