Micro-Nano Optics and Photocatalysis Materials, Devices, and Applications Micro-nano optics and photocatalysis are the most important academic frontiers in the development of new optical devices and photocatalysts. It promotes the rapid development of the synthesis technology of micro/nano size materials or composites and the fabrication of micro/nano devices. It has become a hot topic in the 21st century. Micro-nano optics and photocatalysis are not only the frontier research in the field of optics and photocatalysis, but also encourage researchers to apply them in optical communication, information storage, biological transport, drug carrier, sensing, display, luminescence, electronics, adsorbent, medical field, and other fields.
The rapid developments of micro - nano optics and photocatalysis are very beneficial to the synthesis and design of micro - nano structural materials such as smart materials, multivariate composite heterojunction materials, new recoverable magnetic separation catalysts, optical materials, building materials, and so on. The novel micro-nano size materials or composites have a wide range of applications in many fields such as electronics, automobiles, lighting, construction, decoration, photocatalysis, and piezoelectric catalytic, sensing, photovoltaics, switching, adsorbent, medical field, etc. due to their excellent physical and chemical properties. Different types of catalysts for the degradation of organic pollutants can be developed with the help of semiconductor catalysts driven by light energy, mechanical energy and electric energy. Simultaneously, the special heterojunction composites designed based on band arrangement theory also perform well in the fields of optics and catalysis and become one of the main optical materials or catalysts for development. The traditional method of trying to design new catalysts has disadvantages such as high cost and time consuming. Therefore, the establishment of performance prediction model based on neural network algorithm can provide convenience for the search of new optical materials and catalysts.
The main purpose of this Research Topic is to explore the development of new micro/nano catalysts and new micro/nano optical materials and devices, new methods to synthesize optical materials or catalysts with special defect structures, new recoverable magnetic separation catalysts, catalysts driven by different energies, and the application of intelligent algorithms in the fields of catalysis or optoelectronic devices. The micro - nano structural materials in the field of optoelectronic devices are also very popular. Submissions of original research and review paper types are welcome.
