The migration and transformation of carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus in agricultural systems plays an important role in global climate change, food security and environmental protection. Influenced by many factors such as human agricultural activities, regional geography and climate, agricultural non-point source (NPS) pollution and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions have strong randomness, lag occurrence and regional differences, leading to difficulties in their monitoring, management and control.
This Research Topic aims to enhance scientific communication among researchers interested in agricultural NPS pollution and GHG emissions, to discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with agricultural NPS pollution and GHG emissions monitoring, management and control, and to provide scientific support for sustainable agricultural production. This Research Topic will span the current state of the science on NPS pollution and GHG emissions. We particularly welcome submissions that can enhance our knowledge of agricultural NPS pollution and GHG emission characteristics and controlling mechanisms at various temporal and spatial scales, and the development and application of monitoring, modeling, controlling approaches and management strategies.

• Agricultural NPS pollution control and GHG emissions reduction;
