Early diagnosis is fundamental to prevent from diabetic-related ocular severe conditions leading blindness. The introduction in clinical practice of multimodal imaging modalities has allowed for a prompt diagnosis, strict follow up and early treatment of diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macula edema, with the right management of this type of patients.
