Global collaboration is the cornerstone of scientific advancement.
Frontiers in Plant Science has organized a series of special edition Research Topics, with the goal of highlighting the latest advancements in plant science research across the globe, showcasing the academic excellence and high-quality work of internationally recognized researchers.
These collections aim to shed light on the recent progress made across the entire breadth of plant science and reflect on the future challenges faced by researchers across borders. This Research Topic in particular aims to feature scientific advancements in plant science research in Southeast Asia.
Submissions of Original Research, Reviews, Mini-reviews, and Methods on the following sub-themes are welcome but not limited to:
- Agroecology, organic agriculture, systems of rice intensification (SRI), and sustainable farming;
- Disease management in tropical crops;
- Biological control of plant pathogens;
- Plant-microbe interactions in grain, cereals, and other tropical crops;
- Breeding and QTL studies in high-value and indigenous crops;
- Weed science in the tropics.
Please note that descriptive studies and those defining gene families or descriptive collections of transcripts, proteins, or metabolites, will not be considered for review unless they are expanded and provide mechanistic and/or physiological insights into the biological system or process being studied.
