Virus and virus-like diseases are one of the yield-limiting factors in citrus. Unlike other pathogens, virus and virus-like pathogens are unique and intriguing in their pathogenicity and molecular biology. This is a neglected area in many regions of the world and is yet to be investigated under the umbrella of plant virology.

The detection and characterization of citrus viruses and virus-like pathogens in citrus play a vital role in formulating an integrated management strategy. Therefore, this topic will cover, but not be limited to:
