Here we present an article collection dedicated to highlighting the talent of student researchers within the field of Obstetric and Pediatric Pharmacology.
Across the world students are undertaking key research as part of their education in Obstetric and Pediatric Pharmacology, however, most of this research is not communicated to the wider audience. We recognize that this is because many student researchers find the thought of peer-review daunting. At Frontiers, peer-review is considered a collaborative process and our interactive peer-review is tailored to provide hands-on guidance and constructive feedback to researchers. Our Topic Editors are committed to the development of emerging researchers and want to see students strive for success at publications.
The research presented here highlights the quality and diversity of student researchers across the field of Obstetric and Pediatric Pharmacology. We welcome contributions in the form of original research, review, mini review, case report, hypothesis and theory, perspective, both experimental and computational studies that cover, but are not limited to, following themes:
1. Investigation on the pathological mechanisms underlying relevant genetic, genomic, epigenetic, epitranscriptomic and pathway alterations in children and pregnant women.
2. Factors/determinants of disease progression during prenatal and neonatal stages.
3. Exploring the mechanism underlying the developing origin of adult disease and treatment.
4. Complications and pharmacological approaches during conception, pregnancy, and breastfeeding in women
5. The effect of risk factors, environmental insults, determinants, and relevant reproductive diseases on fertility, miscarriage, and preterm labour.
6. Novel applications, and treatments in obstetric and paediatric pharmacology.
