Frailty is a geriatric multifactorial condition highly prevalent in older adults, a status of increased vulnerability to stressors and adverse factors across several health domains, leading to serious health outcomes such as disability and death. This extreme phenotype of the heterogeneous aging process may lead to multiple disorders due to altered homeostasis which makes the body prone to functional deterioration. Frail older people are at a higher risk of developing dementia, cardiovascular disorders, falls, hospitalization and death, thus frailty represents a serious public health problem.
Treatment and management of frail older adults is a hot topic at the moment, and multiple strategies of frailty prevention and intervention are under investigation.

In this Research Topic, we aim to collect the recent advances in frailty risk assessment and management of frailty patients.

Authors are welcome to submit different types of articles on the following subjects:

• Management programs for the frail population
• Prevalence of frailty
• Identification of risks factors
• Prevention of frailty
• Novel assessment tools for frailty
