Many molecular mechanisms contributing to ion channel voltage-dependency, from voltage sensor movement to pore opening have been the focus of many original articles, and there is a need to review all the new results in a global framework of ion channel voltage dependency.
This Research Topic could encompass:
1- a consensus on the movement of S4 ?
2- the role of lipids in the movement of S4
3- the role of lipids in the gate opening
4- the link between voltage sensor movement and pore opening
5- Ci-VSP, a model of choice for voltage-dependency
6-(patho)-physiological role of omega pores
And so on…
Such themes will be more interesting if they compare different channels, to state if such mechanisms are channel-specific or not.
Even if the main goal of this topic is to review recent data linked to channel voltage dependency, original articles are also accepted.
Deadline for abstract submission : october 1st
