The integration of renewable resources and the increasing of the efficiency of power needs new technology and applications in the current system. The smart grid can be defined as an evolution of existing power systems with close interaction between energy, control, communication, and digital infrastructure.
State-of-the-art technologies facilitate the transformation of electrical power grids into smart grids that can be placed under the Internet of Energy (IoE). IoE covers all digitalization process with mobility, electronic devices, and energy network. This future system can be the solution to decarbonization and green energy.
This Research Topic aims to highlight the current state-of-the-art technologies applied in digitalized smart grids, including renewable energy, the internet of Energy, and others. It will analyse the current challenges, and propose a possible solution and research applications. With these studies, we can explore ways to use advanced digital technologies to build the next generation of energy systems. Also, to promote the efficient use of grid digital assets, decarbonization of the energy generation, and realize the decentralized power and digital systems and other technologies for the future of the world.
We welcome all types of manuscripts, including Original Research Articles, Reviews, Perspectives, with reference to the above, original contributions are invited from the potential researchers from academia as well as from the industry as prospective authors in the following areas, but not limited to:
• Decarbonization with electrical energy systems
• Internet of Energy and applications
• Integration and Control of Renewable Energy Systems with Smart Grid
• Optimal planning/sizing of Electrical Energy Network
• Reliability aspects in Smart Grid systems with renewable resources
• Enabling technologies for Internet of Energy (IoE) and Internet of Things (IoT)
• Energy management for Smart Grid
• Energy-efficient and reliable power systems with the smart grid
• Peer-to-Peer energy trading for decentralized power generation with renewable resources
• Demand Side Management/Demand response with Distributed generation.
