The introduction of next-generation sequencing has broadened the clinical spectrum of primary immune deficiency disorders (PIDD) in children. Although detailed descriptions of PIDD in children regarding immunity and genetics can be found in the literature, studies focusing on dermatologic aspects of these disorders are scarce. Herein, we aim to focus on dermatologic manifestations of PIDD in children, including clinical presentation, course and treatment.
In this Research Topics, we would like to see the following aspects covered:
1. Common and uncommon dermatologic manifestations of PIDD in children
2. Novel therapies to dermatologic manifestations of PIDD in children
3. The detailed description of immune-genetic aspects of PIDD that presents with dermatologic manifestations.
We would welcome articles that include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Reviews on skin disorders in PIDD; focus on humoral deficiencies, T cell disorders or combined immune deficiencies
2. Reviews on skin disorders in PIDD with a focus on primary immune regulatory disorders such as IPEX
3. Case Reports presenting PIDD in children with dermatologic manifestations
4. Original Research articles on the aforementioned topics.
