In recent years, studies related to the effects of physical activity on different psychological and psychosocial variables have proliferated. Variables such as self-esteem, self-confidence, stress and anxiety control, or happiness and well-being have been the object of study by many researchers, with physical exercise being a means to empower them and improve people's mental health. Physical Education also plays a very important role in the mental sphere of children, enhancing multiple psychological variables through it.
The objective of this Research Topic is to bring together current scientific production linked to the analysis of the effects that physical exercise, Physical Education, or physical activity can produce in people, both in the emotional sphere and in the different psychological variables, thus contributing to wellness and mental health.
Authors are invited to submit original empirical, quantitative, or qualitative research manuscripts, as well as review articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, or case studies. All of them will be welcome as long as they address the field of physical exercise / physical activity or Physical Education and its effects on one or more of these variables:
