These collections aim to shed light on the recent progress made across the entire breadth of the field of Life-course Epidemiology and Social Inequalities in Health, and reflect on the future challenges faced by researchers across borders. The scope for this collection is quite broad as the aim is to highlight high quality research from the authors of these regions, as well as shining a light on research that solely pertains to this region. Considering these points, this Research Topic should gather manuscripts covering, but not limited to:
- Life-course Epidemiology research from African countries/regions
- Assessing the social inequalities in health between different countries/regions in Africa
- Articles related to the prevention of disease in varying African countries/regions
- Environmental and Psychosocial exposures in the African continent
- Articles pertaining to the epidemiological gender disparities in Africa
- Social inequalities of chronic diseases in Africa
- Access to healthcare across differing regions in Africa
This collection welcomes submissions pertaining only to the region of Africa, and we are particularly interested in articles where the first or last author is of African ethnicity. We welcome all Article Types for submission that are relevant for the section.
