From Facial Attractiveness Toward A Broader Aesthetics Perception

The study of face attractiveness has attracted more and more researchers' interest. In the past, however, most studies have focused on facial visual attractiveness. However, attractiveness has multiple models of information. How do people judge the vocal attractiveness of a person? How does vocal attractiveness interact with visual attractiveness? How is the information integrated to form an attractiveness perception of a person? How do people judge a person’ attractiveness in a social context such as in a group or in a social interaction situation? How do we form aesthetics judgement in general, such as toward a portrait in artwork?
With this Research Topic, we aim to provide significant knowledge on the broader person attractiveness on these aspects. In this regard articles from psycho-social perspectives, group dynamics, and psychoanalysis will suit perfectly with the interdisciplinary nature of the Research Topic. We are particularly keen on including Original Research and Case Reports articles.
