Introduction and general guidelines This series aims to highlight the latest experimental techniques and methods used to investigate fundamental questions in Pharmacology of Anti-Cancer Drugs research from drugs targeting tumor cells to components of the tumor microenvironment, including non-tumor cells (e.g., endothelial cells, macrophages, lymphocytes, and fibroblasts), and stress conditions such as hypoxia and acidity. This collection may include the synergy between chemotherapy and targeted therapies including immunotherapies (e.g. CAR-T cells); the use of nanoscale particles or targeting moieties to improve drug bioavailability; the role of extracellular vesicles, liquid biopsies as platelets; the identification of biomarkers derived from proteomics, genomics or imaging technologies to predict response or resistance to drug treatment. Review articles or opinions on methodologies or applications including the advantages and limitations of each are welcome. This Topic includes technologies and up-to-date methods which help advance science.
The contributions to this collection will undergo peer-review. Novelty may vary, but the utility of a method or protocol must be evident. We welcome contributions covering all aspects of Pharmacology of Anti-Cancer Drugs. Submissions will be handled by the team of Topic Editors in the respective sections.
