Water security has become a serious threat to human well-being and economic development. The issue is compounded with the advent of climate change, a scenario which is not slowing down anytime soon. This has led to various research themes and policies being developed and implemented to avert this threat. Various adaptive measures have been proposed and researched on, especially in regions where the impact of climate change is most felt. Research themes such has water restrictions, vulnerability, sustainability, water quality and pollution, water management strategy, and socio-political impacts which are interrelated are being used to find adaptive strategies to water security. One thing that is sure is that there is no one size fits all solution to this problem and an interdisciplinary approach would be needed to tackle the problem.
Adaptation to climate change impact comes in many forms. This Research Topic intends to bring forth the recent advances and latest adaptive solutions to issues arising due to water security problems amidst the backdrop of climate change.
