The achievements of scientists and clinicians over the last 10 years have been exceptional and have led to major advancements in the fast-growing field of Neurology. Therefore, Frontiers has organized a series of Research Topics to highlight the latest advances in science in order to be at the forefront in different fields of research. This editorial initiative of particular relevance, led by Prof. Michael Strupp, Specialty Chief Editor of the Neuro-Otology section, is focused on new insights, novel developments and technologies, the latest discoveries, recent advances, and current challenges and future perspectives in the field of Neuro-Otology.

The Research Topic solicits brief, forward-looking contributions from the editorial board members that describe recent developments and major accomplishments that will move the field forward. Authors are also encouraged to identify the greatest challenges in the sub-disciplines, and how to address those challenges as the basis for future scientific and clinical projects.

By shedding light on the progress made in the past decade in the Neurology of Otology and on its future challenges this article collection will inspire, inform, and provide direction and guidance to researchers in the field.
