At present, academic research in high impact journals is disproportionately focused on the western world. This focus, together with the predominant use of English, often prevents researchers from the global south from making their voices heard, in favor of those in the global north who are better funded and often more at ease with English as the shared language of academia. We are therefore delighted to present the inaugural Frontiers in Education "Diversity in" series of article collections.
Diversity in all its aspects is essential to ensure sustainable development, as highlighted by UNESCO. In order to change traditional mindsets and open up new perspectives and priorities for research, equality must be promoted, stereotypes defeated, and research focused on the global south should be highlighted in every research community.
Therefore, Frontiers in Education is proud to offer this platform to promote work focused on the global south, across all aspects of Educational Psychology.
Please note: to be considered for this collection, the first or last author should be a researcher who works in the Global South or focused on the impact of advertising and marketing research on the Global South.
